It’s time to see the world through your child’s eyes. Approximately 80% of a child’s early development is dependent on his/her eye sight. Therefore, at Invision Eyecare we strongly recommend that children have their first eye exam by the age of three. This way your children will have been seen by an Optometrist before they attend school, ensuring they have excellent vision to learn. However, if there is a family history of an ocular condition or you have a concern about your child’s development, we will examine your child at any age, even just a few months.
Children assume that their vision is the same as everyone else’s and frequently exhibit no signs or symptoms despite significant sight problems. Your child does NOT need to know their letters or numbers to have an eye exam. We will customize your child’s eye exam based on their age and ability. We promise that visiting the eye doctor will be a fun experience for your child!
Remember a school screening is not the same as having your eyes examined by a Doctor of Optometry. Children’s eye exams are covered by OHIP annually.
