The visual field test is used to diagnose and monitor many different neurological and retinal disorders such as glaucoma. The visual field test will assess your relative central and peripheral vision. This test is performed for all new patients in the office and then repeated periodically when requested by the doctor.
Some patients require a visual field test for the Ministry of Transportation. If you require this test please schedule an appointment with our office and bring the Ministry forms with you. This test will determine whether your vision meets the Ministry standards for your driver’s license. Your Optometrist will complete the necessary information and have it sent to the Ministry of Transportation on your behalf.
